Colonia Caroya Urban Park
One Park, many parks.
the intersection between urban life and rural production. It focuses on the valorization of Avenida San Martín as a central axis, proposing the Casona Guyón property as a place of great landscape and cultural potential. The vision of the park seeks to integrate into the existing urban fabric, highlighting the importance of the trees and the community stories present in the place.
The proposal contemplates the creation of various spaces and platforms that act as multifunctional stages within the park. These spaces range from trails and rest areas to sports and cultural platforms, seeking to offer a variety of experiences to the community. The intervention in the Casona Guyón stands out to house an interpretation center and multipurpose room, connecting the history of the place with the present through routes and viewpoints.
The design also addresses environmental aspects, preserving the existing trees and proposing water management through the extension of ditches and retention systems. The possibility of building the park in stages is proposed, with materials that are easy to manage and maintain by the municipality. In summary, the proposal seeks to create an Urban Park that celebrates the unique identity of Colonia Caroya, fusing nature, history and community activities.
